Munnar

Munnar - a hill station on the Western Ghats has lakes, reservoirs, forests and tea estates. It is called the Nature-Lovers's Paradise. It stands at the confluence of three rivers - the Muthirappuzh, Nallathanni and Kundala. Moonu in tamil means "three" and aar "river". It is a major center of Kerala's tea industry. Munnar is the best known of Kerala's hill stations.

Athirapally

Nilambur

Nilambur - is famous for its teak plantations. The oldest teak plantation of the world, the Conolly's Plot is just 2 Kms. from Nilambur town. Four Kms. away from Nilambur on the side of Nilambur-Gudallurroad, is world's first Teak Museum and sub centre of Kerala Forest Research Institute. In the Teak Museum, a visitor can have at hand information on all aspects of teak. Rows of bamboo trees on the way to the museum enhance the beauty of the area.

Ponmudi

Ponmudi - Perched at an altitude of over 100 m above sea level on the Western Ghats, the shimmering green waters of the winding streams and verdant woods of Ponmudi do not spare anybody. Trekking is a passion with the visitors to Ponmudi, lying within easy driving distance from Trivandrum. In Trivandrum one can visit the Museum with its profusion of gables and turrets. A repository of fine works of art, the chief attraction here is the 250-year-old temple car made for Lord Vishnu artistically designed and ornamented. Besides this, objects carved out of wood, models of temple, antique jewelry, etc.,

Lakkidi

One of the highest locations in Wayanad, commands a picturesque scenery. It is about 58 km north east of Kozhikode and 5 km south of Vythiri. Lakkidi, the gateway of Wayanad, lies atop Thamarassery, a ghat pass at an elevation of 700 m above mean sea level. The lofty mountain peaks, the gurgling stream, luxuriant vegetation and the birds eye view of the deep valley on the south, with its winding roads, are breath taking. The 12 km long journey from Adivaram to Lakkidi through ghat road with nine hairpin bends amidst thick forests, is a fascinating experience.

Begur sanctuary

Begur sanctuary - Location : About 20 km east of Mananthavady, Wayanad district, north Kerala.The district of Wayanad lies on an elevated picturesque mountainous plateau in the Western Ghats.
